To date Gambia School Appeal has helped through funding the following: –

• repairs to water pumps
• provision of garden tools, watering cans, seeds and seedlings for school gardens (the children propagate fruits and vegetables to supplement their school meals and are also being encouraged to build a greener environment
• creation of a tree nursery to supply saplings to local schools
• provide a new built 3-pit latrine
• information sessions for parents during the threat of Ebola in 2014 and provision of hand-washing liquid for the schools
• provision of mosquito nets for the poorer families
• equipment for school meals
• shipments of books, games, stationery and puzzles to help provide more interesting classroom environments.
